On 29th July
Me and my friend from tourism marketing summer course having a little journey to balikpapan. we went to KWPLH,Bengkirai Hills National Park, and Mangroove center. It was long journey from Samarinda it takes 2 hours to Balikpapan and first stop we went to "KWPLH (kawasan wisata pendidikan lingkungan hidup)" we see sun bear and learn so much about bear, How they live, what they eat, and we also learn other bear species too.

Next stop we went to "Bengkirai hills national park"
The area is named as Bangkirai Hill since many Bangkirai trees in it, some of the Bangkirai trees has reached 150 years with the height of 40 to 50 meters. The unique object in Bangkirai Hill is canopy bridge, a bridge that connects one tree to another, with 64 meters length and 30 meters height from the ground.
From the top of the canopy bridge we could see the beautiful Bangkirai rain forest, so green and amazing. We could have a chance to see wild small colourful bird, if lucky we could spot horn bill (Enggang Bird). The famous bird from Borneo island.
Bangkirai Hill is located in Samboja District of Kutai Kartanegara Regency at KM 38 Soekarno – Hatta highway, the main route between Balikpapan – Samarinda.

Last stop we went to Mangrove center it was really great we having a cruise alongside the mangrove we saw bekantan (Proboscis monkey) and some local Monitor lizard alongway the cruise and of course enjoying freshed aired.

It was really an epic journey to see natural environtment that we are not really often to see on our everyday life.
